Breakout sessions scheduled for roundtable on Thu 2/4:
• Cub Scout leaders: Pinewood Derby 2021 – Keep On Rollin’
• Scouts BSA leaders: To Do or Not to Do - The Guide to Safe Scouting
• Parents and other interested parties: How District Goals Help Units Succeed!
Pack 6 Cubmaster Kirk Stauff will share his knowledge of how to plan and run a hybrid / virtual Pinewood Derby. Scouts BSA Roundtable Commissioner Janice Ehrlich will lead a discussion about allowed and excluded troop activities. Join Commissioners Glen DePhillips and Judy Walden to learn how the district helps units accomplish their JTE goals and succeed as healthy, fun, and well-rounded programs for their youth. Glen and Judy will provide a broad-brush view along with specific details by sharing and discussing what unit service really means, from commissioners to membership, to camping, to civic service, to advancement, to training, to communications and more, as they relate to supporting your unit. If you have questions about how you can get help from your district leaders, come to this informative break-out session.
Please note that we have a new link for Central District Roundtable Zoom meetings. You can find it on the Grand Canyon Council website calendar. It was also shared by email to unit Key 3 members, commissioners, and district committee members. Contact Keith Jendricks (uwiwita@cox.net) with questions or announcement requests.
The room will open at 6:30 to give everybody time to join and socialize before the planned program starts at 7:00. All interested Scouters and parents are welcome.
